Working on a Hackathon with a team of designers and developers, we designed a website to aid users in finding pet shelters near them during the holidays. My responsibities included:

Brand Guidelines: Creating a Branding Guideline for implementation across the webpages for seamless handoff to other designers

User Interface: Targeting our user, I established elements that are easy to approach, utilizing familiarity with web design standards. Applying the information architecture given to us by the UX researchers, we crafted a visual experience where our users will navigate through with efficiency.

Project Management: Using the AGILE Method, I provided support to both UX and Developer teams to ensure that tasks were completed in a timely manner and working in short cycles to implement changes on a case by case basis.

Working with the Consumer Marketing Team at the Los Angeles Times, helped design items to drive consumers to the Print and social media channels, including:

The Los Angeles Subscriber Page: Responsive Web Design used to drive subscriptions by 15% to The Los Angeles Times digital and print media, working within branding guidelines.

The Times Podcast: Essential News with the L.A. Times. A podcast hosted by Gustavo Arellano which was conceptualized and designed in tandem for distribution across all media including print, digital and social.

The Los Angeles Times Print Advertising: Magazine and Newspaper Print Design designed to keep readers informed of the daily news and events in their community.

Working with CenterCal Properties, LLC & Looking.LA, helped design the UX and UI for the forthcoming Redondo Beach Waterfront property proposal. The website would show investors and the city of Redondo Beach the value of investing in this location. Responsibilities included:

UX/UI Designer: Responsive Web Design to ensure that the stakeholders and investors could view this on any device

Developed using Bootstrap: Assisted with HTML & CSS and worked alongside developer to find bugs and check for useability.

Perch CMS: Completed website along with handoff to client and granting control over specific content that was requested.

Working alongside the Marketing team, collaborated with the Art Director with the documentation and design for Peerstreet, including:

Production Design: Providing assets to clarify to stakeholders and investors where their money is being spent

Print Design: Communicated signage, wayfinding plaques, and print media to provide concise directions to potential consumers and clients which drove to 25% less errors

Graphic Design: Designed Presentation mockups with templates for the in-house team to present to stakeholders weekly

Working alongside the social media team, designed social media content across different shows on the E! Entertainment/Esquire network and NBC including:

UX Designer Outlined and created guides for developers to implement across different pages on the NBC.com website

Digital Design: Conceptualized targeted digital assets using client input to advertise relevant shows

Production Design: Assisted the Art Director in the creation of digital assets across the NBC.com website

As a lead designer for the Snapchat Discovery Launch, designed the following:

Lead Designer: Corroborated with a team and Creative Director to create a social media strategy to increase views for our Snapchat users

Social Media Design: Implemented digital advertising for clients such as Apple Tv, Roku, and other streaming platforms
